Of all the Camarilla in New York, no clan is more thoroughly distrusted than the Tremere. Already suspect by virtue of their blood, the Tremere of the city live in the shadow of their predecessors' treachery. One former Regent fled the city after failing to murder the Seneschal; another committed the ultimate crime of dealing with the Sabbat. Now, no Kindred of New York can view the Tremere without considering their past misdeeds. The policies of the current Regent have been somewhat conciliatory, but few doubt that the Chantry and its members are brewing some new betrayal.
