Embraced in the Hawaiian Islands, Matthew Chen has worked long and hard as a diplomat and a peacemaker between the Tremere and the other Clans of the Camarilla. Over the years, he has earned a reputation for levelheadedness and fairness among the Toreador, Ventrue, Brujah and Gangrel. He has been sent on temporary assignments to many cities across the world, negotiating settlements on behalf of the Tremere.

In recent years, Chen has spent a significant amount of time in Hong Kong, where he studied the mysterious magics of the East, and in New York City, where he served as Regent DeBoshi's right hand man and liaison to the rest of the city's Kindred community. He now serves in a similar liaison position in the Boston Chantry.
