Daniel Thomas Carter

Regent

"The consummate leader cultivates the moral law, and strictly adheres to method and discipline; thus it is in his power to control success." - The Art of War

Aside from a few ambiguous references to an early life in Chicago, Daniel Thomas Carter has said little of his mortal life, and nothing of the circumstances of his Embrace. From his public discussions with Laurance Black, one can gather that he had a classical education, not uncommon for the Tremere, and some interest in philosophy and the arts. More recently, he has resided in London, Washington DC, Salt Lake City and Boston.

In the summer of 1998, Regent DeBoshi called Daniel Carter to the New York Chantry as a specialist in religious affairs. He continued to serve the Chantry during the interregnum of late 1998, acting as Primogen in the stead of the often-absent Dr. Colette Brightman. With the fall of Prince Gerrant and the rise of Prince Black, Carter's dedicated service to the city and the Traditions were recognized and repaid with the offices of Regent, Primogen and Seneschal. The Chantry treads softly under his rule, and he has been careful to smooth over each of the scandals which have arisen since his accession.
